The Niskayuna Community Foundation is pleased to offer grant funding for organizations serving the residents of the town of Niskayuna and/or the Niskayuna School District. To be eligible for full or mini-grants, the applicant organization must qualify as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization according to IRS guidelines; operate under the fiscal sponsorship of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; or be sponsored by the town of Niskayuna or the Niskayuna School District. The Niskayuna Community Foundation places the highest priority on projects that address significant community issues. Grants are awarded in the following fields: health and human services, arts and culture, community development, conservation and historic preservation, and recreation. Grants may also be made for capital projects including equipment purchases. Single grants will range from $1,000 to $10,000. Grant applications are due by April 14, 2018.
Grant applicants will be notified in June 2018 regarding the status of their application.
MINI-GRANT PROGRAM DETAILS
The Niskayuna Community Foundation is pleased to announce the possible immediate availability of money associated with mini-grants for applicants that meet the qualifications noted at the top of this page. Applicants should check for availability with the Chairman of the Distribution Committee. Mini-grants have the same overall purpose as a traditional grant application, but are requests below $1,000.
